For those who have read the Harry Potter books...?
Is it possible to read the entire series before the final book comes out? It usually takes me days to read a novel so Im thinking I could do it. Can anyone tell me the best way to pace myself? Which books are slower reading?
Well I read books in about days total once I finally got past the idea that they were babyish. I got in the afternoon of each release date and had them finished by midnight that night and thats with seeing a musicalworkcamp counciling respectively. brbrIf you are persistent you could probably manage it. Obviously book is the slowest because its the thickest, but it moves pretty quickly. I also think that amp move quickly. I actually have trouble getting through the first book. It really doesnt move that fast, especially at the beginning. I found I had to plough through it. is alright. is pretty slow too.brbrGood luck!
For those of you that hate twilight...?
have you even read the book or seen the film?
Nope. brbrBut, I can tell you EXACTLY why I refuse to read it and why I hate it. Its Meyers sexual fantasy. Its disgusting, not to mention badly written Ive looked at a few pages of the books, had people show me quotes. Its sexist, racist, among other things. And Bella is a freakin whore. All she wants is sex. And another is because Meyer is a total idiot. Ive seen some of her interviews. What the hell is dead blood? Ive read better fanfiction. brbrHow she got published, its beyond me. However, Ill probably watch the movie because of Robert. Has anyone else seen his comments on Twilight? Theyre freakin hilarious. You know its bad when the main actor hates it and shares your views.
For fantasy book lovers Any one have good sugestions for Science Fiction Fantasy books to read?
Im having trouble finding new, really good material. Some of my favorite authors include J.K. Rowling, David Eddings, Majorie B. Kellogg, Garth Nix, etc. Centered more towards adult, high fantasy preferably. Thanks!
My personal favorites are Mercedes Lackey and Anne McCaffrey. Mercedes Lackey is sword and sorcery fantasy with well developed characters and an easy to read writing style. Anne McCaffrey has quite a few books dealing with dragons. Mercedes Lackeys Heralds of Valdmar series is by far my favorite fantasy series Anne McCaffreys Dragonriders of Pern is a close second.
